Any scandals that you've heard about?? Elaborate. I am quite concerned as i am applying to some this year.

bump bump bump

Dude, why are you so interested in scandals? Worry about the quality of the education and the kids.

There are scandals at every school, prep or not.

I know my friend at Andover has this roomie who drinks a lot and who does smack.

i heard about a big drinking/etc scandal at lawrenceville last year, but i dont know the details that well

What about milton, choate, and sps? i've heard some bad things about them...

At Milton I think the girl was whack to begin with and her actions shouldn't reflect (that) badly on the school. I found it rather unnerving, however, as all the hockey players got kicked out (some of these kids were relatively poor kids who needed the athletic scholarships they received to even THINK about attending Milton) but she (BIG legacy/development) is still there.

Unnerving?? It makes you wonder how good the faculty is keeping on eye out for their students.

Okay well not to state the obvious but yeah, duh, with a what- 12:1 faculty student ratio at each school, EVERY boarding school has less supervision than being at home with your parents. Sure, they should provide guidance and support also, but the whole point is that the students who go to boarding school are supposed to be mature and independent enough to be on their own in the first place. That's one of the reasons why admissions for these places are so stringent.

That's true...

:::::bump:::::

Scandals are fun. :) Meateater;s just mad because he goes to St. Pauls which is notorious for scandal. Mwhaha.

well, I really don't think sps's scandal is as bad as it sounds :)

I dont either...

what about milton? That sounded really bad :(

true very true

Any info on that one?
