<p>I am going to be a junior beginning in August and I just found out about prep schools. I wish I had known about them earlier (AKA before going to high school) since my schools have been ... mediocre at best. If I apply, I'd be a senior when attending, so should I bother?</p>
<p>I'm a senior now at a public school and the beginning of this year one of my friends went away to prep school. the prep school made her repeat junior year. i feel like that's pretty typical, I'm not really sure though.</p>
<p>i dont think it would make much difference now...if u just want the experience then go ahead and apply (btw the deadline for most schools already passed but there's always some schools that offers rolling admission) but if u are thinking of going because of college i suggest that you dont. who knows, the prep school might be much tougher than your current one, and the last thing you need is bad grades while applying to college.</p>
