Prep Schools in Virginia and North Carolina

<p>Hello! While on my search for the "perfect" boarding school my parents informed me that I they want me to go to a school close to home and I could only apply to schools in Virginia and North Carolina. So I was wondering if anyone could give me any information or opinions on the following schools.</p>

<p>Chatham Hall ( Chatham Virginia )
Foxcroft School ( Middleburg Virginia )
The Madeira School ( McLean Virginia )
Saint Mary's School ( Raleigh North Caroolina )
Salem Academy ( Winston-Salem, NC ) </p>

<p>I want to go to a school that has challenging academics, a great campus, many traditions, teachers who care and "Know" their field of study, and of course nice dorms =]</p>

<p>Someone on here was accepted to Chatham Hall and I think is attending there…if you do a search you an probably find some of her posts or private message her. I think it was leapindoughnuts maybe?</p>

<p>I’ve heard very good things about the Asheville School. You could look into it if you haven’t already.</p>

nice school, a little overrated, but i like it for the most part… it’s really tiny if that’s what you’re into…</p>

<p>I haven’t really looked into any boarding schools in North Carolina, but although it’s in Northern Virginia, Episcopal High School is I think really good and worth looking into. It has great access to Washington DC.</p>

<p>They’re all great schools! Like the person above me said, Episcopal is also an option. Out of all the schools, Episcopal really meets your description. It has strong academics and is 100% boarding, so the campus is close.</p>

<p>EHS accepted my son last year. Although he didn’t accept that offer, we found many things about Episcopal exciting: strong language department; 100% boarding; co-education; church affiliation (the parents especially like this factor, my son less); solid college placement program; stout athletics; proximity to D.C., etc. I highly recommend EHS.</p>

<p>Chatham,Maderia,foxcroft, Ashville and Episcopal are excellent schools.</p>
