Hey guys. I’m going to be taking the ACT on April 9th 2016, and I just needed some tips on which prep books I should buy and how much time in practice I should invest in order to achieve a score of at least a 30. I will have lots of time to practice due to spring break coming up and note also that this is the first time I’ll be exposed to such a test. Any advice given will be appreciated. Thanks!
You should get the “Real ACT prep guide” book, and start taking the practice tests in it. I’d recommend you take the 1st practice test without much studying, and then use that score as a benchmark. There are other ACT prep books, but the “real ACT” book is the only one that contains official practice tests. Just make sure you’re reviewing your mistakes after each test.
