Hi everyone,
I am preparing for the GRE exam and I need some advice on how to practice active, critical reading. I really enjoy reading articles and newspapers, but I’m trying to understand how to read more critical. For example after every paragraph what questions should I ask myself? If I don’t know a word should I look it up or move on and try to understand the sentence?
Additionally, I am looking for quality resources (other than the official GRE books) for verbal, writing and math. I’m looking for more realistic resources where I can learn tips other than the usual common sense but also practice on questions that are more similar to the exam. I looked at Kaplan at some point and personally did not like it at all.
Unfortunately, most articles and newspapers are anything but critical analysis.
For prep, I’m a fan of the Manhattan stuff.
