preparing for next year TAG.

I am looking at 2014 UCSB TAG. i know it changes every year. Let's hope UCSB won't change much this year.

So when i look at UCSB tag requirment it says that

Admission Selection Criteria:
To be admitted to the pre-major, all transfer students must have completed the
following:
(1) One year sequence of General Chemistry with laboratory, with no individual
grade less than "C";
(2) Complete sequence (2-3 terms) of major-applicable General Biology with
laboratory, with no individual grade less than "C"; and
(3) A cumulative GPA of 2.7 or better in the required courses listed above.

For students to graduate within two years of transferring we strongly recommend
the completion of one year of organic chemistry with laboratory, one year of
general physics with laboratory, and one year of calculus or calculus with
statistics. Any of these courses completed with a grade lower than "C" might not
satisfy course prerequisites at UCSB

Does it mean the only classes i need to get accpeted to TAG are 1 year of general Chemisty with lab and 2-3 terms of Bio with lab

Does it mean i do not HAVE to take physics ?? Because it says "recommended"

Thank you so much.

correct
,

The problem is, without the recommended classes you may not be able to take certain upper division courses. So if you do get, you might find that staying in CC an extra year would have been a better option. Last thing you want to do is transfer than still take CC-level courses that cost more and are more difficult because of the curves and whatnot.

If you finish the Bio and Chem by the end of the spring and meet the 2.7 major GPA in the Bio and Chem by the end of the fall, and meet all other conditions of TAG you will be admitted. However, it is recommended that you finish the Physics, O-Chem, Calc, & Stats. Not completing these courses will not impact your TAG, but it may lengthen your time to graduation.

ok thank you guys so much. i guess i should just take all the recommend before i transfer
thank you
