So if I get rejected, I will probably want to transfer to where I wanna go.

Question: Will colleges look at my second semester senior grades? Are they going to be super-important?

Question: Will colleges look at my second semester senior grades? Are they going to be super-important?

you mean for when you transfer? probably not

Depends when you are transferring - if it's after 2 years, you shouldn't worry. However after 1 year? You must worry about those grades.

is it possible to transfer during the 2nd semester of freshman year in college? or does it have to be one year after?

Apprantly, they do look at your senior 2nd semester grades if you want to transfer (Although colleges are different) My bro speaks from experience (he tried to transfer from Cornell to Duke, but totally blew off 2nd semester)

YOu can transfer during the 2nd semester at some colleges, butr even at those you can, it'll mostly be based off of high school stuff since you've only been in college a semester

What if I get 2 B's this semester?? A B in EngAP as usual, and a B in religion because I slacked off completely...They won't weigh religion too much, right?

Hide, this is off the subject but I have been reading your posts, and you seem like a highly intell person with a good attitude. Why the negatives ? Are you just being nervous ?

Because I know the competition out there...

Way to go hideANDseek for widening your options. It's good to see people who aren't sickly optimistic/conceited about their chances, and also good to see people who want to prepare for anything that might come in their way.

yourworld, there is no reason why hideANDseek should not consider the negatives, as the possibility of rejection happens to every single applicant, no matter how good. And I'm dead serious, do a search on the acceptance/rejection threads on this site, and you will probably concur. Although some might think I'm mean and extreme, it's better to see the dark (or light) truth than to live in this fake world based on anonymous users' comments trying to make you feel better. When they are accepted and you're not, they can and will drop you from the platter faster than you can even react to the decision. It's a cruel world buddy.

Regarding your original question, I do not believe 2 Bs will be regarded as complete red zone-need-to-reject-applicant decision. Try to keep up your other grades sport, and good luck. :)

ha, I've seen about 2 optimistic people on this board. Everyone on CC is perect, but they all think they suck ;)

No, Pongo, some are quite conceited, or maybe I browse Harvard University too much. Or maybe they pretend that they think they suck, but you don't know for sure, now do you? Are you perfect? Am I perfect? No. Does that make everyone perfect? No. Actually I don't find many "perfect" kids in my eyes, or maybe it depends on your definition of perfect.

Of course I don't mean literally perfect. All I'm saying is a lot of people here seem rather insecure, when they don't really need to be.

Of course, if you're on the Harvard boards you're sure to run across some pretentionsness. It's in their nature :P
