And for all those who took the physics sat, I am taking AP Physics 1 next year but I heard the SAT has both physics 1 and 2.
Has anybody self studied Physics 2 along with Physics 1 and gotten a good score on the SAT Physics? Any tips on how to manage that?
I took Physics 1 this past year and am planning on taking the exam in August. To start, I took a practice test with only my physics 1 knowledge and found that the questions we covered in my class were rather easy, I just didn’t know any of the new material. After learning all of the material that physics 1 didn’t cover (which was surprisingly not a crazy amount), I personally think that the practice tests have become much easier. The curve is very generous, so even if there are tidbits of information you haven’t picked up on, you should be fine as long as you have a strong knowledge of each topic overall.
I used the Kaplan SAT Physics book to learn all of the new concepts. I thought it was easy to retain most of the information, but that’s probably because I already had a good foundation, having already taken Physics 1. I’m not sure how well it would work if I tried learning both classes at once.
