Preparing for the AP Calculus BC exam...

Can anyone recommend a good AP Calc BC book? I heard Barron's is good but that's only one person's opinion.
Any suggestions?

Peterson's/ARCO is what's usually recommended, on this board, anyway.

Amazon.com: Be Prepared for the AP Calculus Exam: Mark Howell,Martha Montgomery: Books

I may look into Peterson's, but the Be Prepared one looks convincing, despite that one negative review from a Calc teacher...hmm.

Thanks for the replies!

I used Barron's for BC Calc and it worked well for me. Also, as far as concept explanations go, John Stewart's Calculus textbook is awesome. Good luck!

be prepared is probably the best, but that's not going to be found in bookstores. i think the princeton review is pretty good, a little short on teaching some concepts, but it's laid out nicely with a lot of challenging practice to master concepts and the tests are decent as well.

does anyone know how similar the ARCO practice tests are compared to the actual AP test? are they worth doing in addition to the actual released practice tests if im running low on time?

I don’t think prep books are particularly helpful for math, especially this late in the game. My suggestion would be to get the Sparknotes chart for formulas and basic concepts, use your textbook for anything you need clearing up on, and then take a few practice tests. That should be all you need for a five.
