I have about a month to prepare for the PSAT... what are the best books/practice tests to do for the SAT Writing section. Is there a list of grammatical rules that frequently show up on the SAT (for analysis or correction)? The only portion I'm worried about is the writing section.

Thanks.

PSAT? Don't worry about it. It's called the PSAT for a reason, lol. if you really must study for it, just buy or take from the library a study book.

Nah, I need to study for it for competitive summer camps and such...

Aw shucks. It's a popularity contest. That's why everyone takes the PSAT! goes to write book

Just study. That's the best advice that I can give you. BUY the Collegeboard's 8 Practice SAT (DONOT take it from the library since you can't write in a library book), take both the PSAT application and SAT from a library or something. (free 2 tests :) ) (and if you can find it, the 2005-06 ones. Another 2 tests) Practice the tests. Get a 'feel' for them. Also, buy a prep book. There are hundreds of them, so that should be no problem.

And there is no essay in the PSAT. Other than that, I think it's pretty much the same as the SAT. Don't quote me, though.

^Also the PSAT is a lot shorter, and the questions aren't quite as difficult. But that's all the difference.
