What kind of routines or rituals do you guys go through the night before the exam?? I'm planning on sleeping fairly early (Get my full 8hours) and eat a hearty breakfast.. Although I don't know what a hearty breakfast is becuase I usually don't eat breakfast... lol Any suggestions on what to eat??? my teacher says not to drink too much or eat too much sugar...I'm just scared I'll eat too much and be in pain during the test. Should I study before the exam or will that just mess me up?

I never take a test without a refresher right before I take it, but go with what works: if you've done fine on tests without it and you're worried about it messing you up, then by all means don't do it. Everyone's different. I also have to study before I sleep: I think sleeping after studying something intensely absorbs it best into my mind, and the refresher in the morning helps affirm that.

Try eating some cereal with milk, maybe? Just make sure it's not one of those super-sugary cereals for kids. I like scrambled eggs and toast as well (whole-grain <3) with orange juice.

Don't eat too much!

Then your blood goes to your stomach, not to your brain.

JoeTrumpet, what do you mean by a refresher? Looking a note sheet in the morning? Just curious, cause that sounds pretty helpful.

Depends on what I have for the course. For physics today, I looked over a formula sheet from an old exam for the free-response section. I also skimmed through the pages of my PR book too to see if anything caught my eye as something I had forgotten. For government, obviously a formula sheet didn't exist :) so I skimmed through all the pages of a PR book to see if something caught my eye again. I feel like it helps me to just have seen it before the test, even if I didn't read it deeply. I get a few "oh yeah!" feelings, usually. It's maybe < 30 minutes to go through everything like that.

i think if u have a review sheet, skim through it just as a refresher
dont really change any of the routines u normally do (except if u sleep late, sleep earlier lol)
and just go in there, hold ur head up high and own that test (:

I look at the PR book and just relax/stay calm

last night before i went to sleep i made about 50 equation/sign convention flash cards for physics. then this morning (physics was a noon test) i memorized all of them. it seemed to work out well, just be careful if you don't usually do this. Rote memorization during zero hour weight training for 1st period spanish is actually the only way i've studied for my tests all year, so doing it with numbers instead of conjugations wasn't too bad.

I usually study right before a test, just to go over things. I usually don't study much for tests, if at all... I just make sure I really learn the stuff the first time around. Works for me.

i always cram the night before. you're told to relax and not study, but then you forget everything ;/
