<p>I had a 2.8 GPA in high school and still got in as a junior transfer, so I wouldn’t sweat that.</p>
<p>ca87, my educated guess would be that while in general in state residents have a better chance at admission no matter what the circumstances, that is not going to make a significant difference in your case.</p>
<p>You realize that there’s virtually no merit aid for transfers, anywhere, right? Why are you starting at a college you already know you can’t afford? You don’t think you’re digging your own grave, here? Maybe a gap year and a do-over on applications would make more sense.</p>
