lostmarch - yes about Fairfield, most of the partying takes place off campus though because they’re strict on campus. but no worries - the college is legitimately a 4 minute drive to the beach and maybe a 25-ish minute walk. tons of students own beachhouses so most of the partying takes place there or other apartments off-campus. it is definitely decidedly preppy but not totally homogenous. i’d seriously recommend looking at Fairfield for anyone! i love the school and wish it wasn’t so close to me.

Maybe not the weed, but preps definitely drink. That’s why the OP should NOT apply to Princeton.

I went ahead and highlighted the ones that you stand a chance at based on your PSAT score, but if you can get up your real SAT score then disregard this. Just keep in mind that the SAT is more difficult than the PSAT.

Maybe I don’t really understand your use of the world preppy, but two schools that I’ve been to that had a somewhat ‘preppy’ feel are Colgate and Loyola, MD.

I’d definitely second LLaK’s recommendations.

Don’t know how no one has mentioned Furman. Its realistic given your PSAT score, the party scene is relatively tame from what I hear, although, along with that comes an air of religion around campus, so you’d have to be ok with that. Otherwise, relatively strong academics, south-eastern, preppy, not much party scene.

I would defintely add American in DC to that. Preppy and a huge Jewish population.
