I'm getting ready for the Math II SAT subject test in June, and I've taken two different diagnostic tests to see where I am in terms of preparedness.

The results?

Sparknotes: 620
Barron's: 560

Gulp

Do you think it's realistic that, after working through the Barron's book for a month and consistently taking practice tests, I'll be scoring in the 700+ range? If there's no chance, then I'll wait until October to take it...

opinions?

Yes, definitely. Barron’s is much tougher, but sparknotes is pretty accurate. Read barrons, do all the practice problems, then take a sparknotes test. You should be 700+ or close to it.

Thanks for the input. Anyone else think the same/something different?

It depends on your talent in math as well as how much you can gain from reviewing. Personally, I had forgotten most of Alg I and some of Alg II and there were several topics we hadn’t covered in my pre-cal class yet. When I took my first diagnostic test I got a 660 and now I’m in the mid 700s (720-770), and I still feel like I can improve. So it really depends on your unique situation.
