Prepping for US History

I have till Nov 3 to prep and I was wondering the best way to get prepped for 720ish

Thanks

The For Dummies book is amazing. I'd also recommend www.sparknotes.com for quick review.

if you already took apush, reread amsco.

will reading the entire sparknotes site plus listening to the Krieger podcasts get me 720+?

Thanks

I haven't got my scores back, but I'm positive I broke 720. I've never taken a US History class before, so I learned everything using only the SparkNotes and a test prep book (I think the Barron's, but I'm not sure).

barron's flash cards... definitely

I have been studying Baron's US History by myself AND AP US History book with CD from REA (this AP book is really good-im taking on Nov, too)

AMSCO, AMSCO, AMSCO.

I swear by AMSCO. I had a joke of a US teacher, but I managed a 760 and a 5 on the AP test thanks to AMSCO.

Absolutely tdn -- AMSCO is the way to go. If you can't get your hands on a copy of that wonderful work on US History, I would strongly suggest www.course-notes.org. Those two combined (course-notes.org has 100+ practice quizzes) will be all you need.

What is this AMSCO book? Can someone give me a link? I took US History sophmore year, and I don't remember much. What are other good prep books... PR, Kaplan, Barron's?

i like pr.

i never took american history in my life and never lived for more than two months in the states but i studied from kaplan and pulled a 720. it's pretty good. it covers a lot of the details. but yeah, i hear AMSCO is the way to go. i couldn't get my hands on it though.

i totally agree with tdn
AMSCO all the way!
it gave me a 5 on ap us history wen i was half asleep all history class cuz my teacher was so boring i knew nothing bout history before i read it then i knew everything for the test well now i don't remember nething haha

Linky:
Amazon.com: United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination: Books: John J. Newman

I agree that AMSCO is great both for AP and SAT.

how about REA for APUSH?..anybody use this?
