prepping for WH using kap/barrons

hi everybody.
so i've been prepping for the WH test in december, and ive been mainly using the kaplan book.
however i was browsing through the barrons.. and taking the quizzes after every unit.. and i seem to get so many of them wrong!

but on kaplans.. i ace all the quizzes...

so.. in general, for those who have used either one and have also taken the test.. will the test be as hard as the barrons questions.. i know barrons usually uses much harder questions.. but looking at my quiz grades, im going to have a horrendous score!

is kaplan a good representation of the real test?
i need to get 750+

thanks in advance!

i went cover to cover with kaplan's and got a 690. : (

i saw the barron's and the review is much more interesting.
kaplan's is dry and tasteless.

i say you try barron's

Barrons questions are somewhat harder than the actual SAT II, I was scoring like 580s on the Barrons tests and ended up with a 630. (not great I know)

Kaplan's practice tests are generally representative of the real test. However, I would say Barrons and Kaplan are equally valuable for the World History subject test. The practice unit review quizzes for Barrons, though, are detailed and factual-based questions from each unit. So it would not be surprising for someone to miss a lot on those without actually reading the unit.

wow juventus, I admire your analysis very deeply

i'd say only barron's. that's what i'm doing. solve the PTs in kaplan but do the revision from barron's.
