"Preppy" Clothing

preppy people dress classic. twill pants, crewneck and argyle sweaters, ribbon belts, etc.

It's Paul STUART, sorry!

Sorry.

But yeah, it's middle-aged prep.

this thread is so repetitive....it needs to die!!!

i go to american eagle, abercrombie (too expensive) and aero. hollister hasnt opened at the local mall.

not that it should matter much, hollister is nearly identical to abercrombie

i disagree. while i am not a huge fan of either, hollister's clothing is more beach/surf/west-coasted themed and abercrombie's clothing is more eastcoast/preppy themed. also i feel like hollister's clothing is of lesser quality. their sizes run smaller as well. they also have an excellent selection of music in their stores while abercrombie seems to play mostly techno/pop.

"i hate it when people wear jeans too tight and shirts too small, and thus show off excess pounds around the midsection."

AMEN.

I like American Eagle. Aeropostale is good. I have a few things from Abercrombie.
I really like the polos at AE though.

LOL Jonathan. x] I like Hottopic. x/ Oh well no one cares blah blah blah I know. >_>

i knew as soon as i saw ur user name that u shopped at hot topic...tehehehe. a lot of my friends do too.

=] Sweetness. We live in the same state. xD Go Punks in MA! Woot!

haha im actually not punk in clothing. at heart...haha.

Punk in clothing or at heart. xP Doesn't matter.

In the mid-west, all you need to be preppy is a shirt with a colar and an animal logo on it.

But if you really want to go all out, you wear a button-up colared shirt, with a sweater over it, with the colar and the cuffs visible out of the sweater.

this thread ought to be moved to the prep school forum.

Preppy i go to school where u have to wear shirts w/ collars and chinos but im actually just starting to wear Polos outside of school i mean i wore the colorful striped ones everyonce in a while outside of school but i just tried this style Which kids usually did at my school which is a colored shirt underneath but i tweeked it up even more w/ sleeves rolled up and all buttons un done at top and even My shirt at waist rolled up..it looks really cooL! I throw on one of my many screened tees from my public school days(i still buy them just not as often) then throw on a WHITE(it has to be white it looks hideous unless its white) Polo shirt its the opposite of the t-shirt over polo shirt design

that just confuzzled me.

lesmizzie i cna never understand your posts! PLEASE USE PERIODS. that was like one big long sentence.

i know, seriously. my english teacher would have had a heart attack. (darn him)

but i get it, now that i've went over it like three times. a polo shirt over a regular t-shirt.

at my school, people just wear double polos. (ultra preppy). i've never heard of polo-over-t-shirt.
