PREREQS done before applying of before transferring?

Hello, congrats to all of u who got accepted to the schools u are intending to go. Im a sophomore in community college and will be applying to the UCs this november.
majoring in aerospace engineering

Do the schools look at how many prereqs u have done after u submit ur application, or they dont care as long as they see that u will be done by the spring semester which is the last before transfering? How does work in progress play a role in their decision Do they wait to see IF your grades for the fall semester before they make a decision in case is lower than they expect to accept/higher and want to see if u slack off to reject u???

thanks

they want you to ideally finish your preqs by the end of spring prior to fall.

Work in progress, if not completed and part of your pre-qs or part of your IGETC will hurt you. Its not really about grades in your work in progress class as much as it is about you completing them if they are required for IGETC or major.
There is also no such thing as a work in progress grade report or anything like that. You will often times get your decision before your grades in your spring courses, but if for some reason you fail or do not complete them, your admission could be in danger;

Depending on the school your applying to in the UC system the completion of preq may have a lot of weight or a little. (also depending ont he amjor at that school)

Given that your major is probably very competative, you should have as many preqs done as possible. Since the preq list for your major is extensive not having 1 done is not going to be detrimental to you if other parts of ur application are up to par.

Which UC are you looking at specifically? Keep in mind that aside from UCLA and UCB you can obtain guranteed admission contracts to all the other schools form most CA colleges.

well... UCLA and UCB are my first and second choice respectively. i will for sure have the prereqs done by the spring but my concern was how advanced should they be. by the end of this spring sem. i will be a bit more than half done with prereqs. i guess nobody finishes the prereqs before they apply, but i just wasnt sure that since they are only evaluating on what u have completed and earned a grade, which is around (30 to 45 units), that they would maybe want to wait and see ur grades for the fall semester

they dont accept sophomore transfers.

Junior transfer only, you have to finish IGETC
