I read in the FAQ section that you need to have completed all of your prereqs before applying, or atleast you should try to. This might sound like a dumb question, but were exactly would you find a list of prereqs? Im in a state school in Maine, thinking of transfering to USC or UCLA, my major is biology but im switching to political science for 2nd semester, so I will obviously not have political science prereqs done by fall, so what do I do?

Were can I even find the list of prereqs, there website just says you need the basic stuff like college transcript and that jazz, doesnt say anything about prereqs.

Assist.org will only work between the California Community Colleges and a Public California University. Since you are out of state please refer to the course catalogs at UCLA or USC to find the prerequisites for your program. Hopefully these are available through their websites.

But what exactly do I do about my major, im switching to political science after this semester so I obviously wont have the prereqs done by fall since I cant switch majors until second semester?

If I were you, I’d check in the UCLA and USC catalogs like UCD Admissions said. Look for “lower-division courses” under political science, and see if you can find similar courses at your current school.

How much emphasis do the UC’s put on your pre-req GPA in comparison to your overall GPA? At the moment I have a 3.8 in my pre-reqs but only a 3.5 overall.

The lady on the phone told me “we do not accept sophmore level transfers, you must be a junior”

She didnt go into credits, but assuming you get 15credits a semester, thats 30 freshman year, and 30 sophmore year, making it 60 for junior plus the 15 you get for first semester as a junior.

Transfer Student = Student who has enrolled in a normal academic term after the date of high school graduation, summer term is not a normal academic term.

^^^
great beleive what you want, you are wrong about UCLA I was told by an admissions officer that they did not accept any transfer students that were below or above junior year.
