<p>How come I still haven’t heard back from NEC?</p>
<p>thelovelybones: Last year we heard from NEC for violin performance in January. At many schools different instruments hear at different times as the screenings are done by department.</p>

<p>I applied to 10 schools which include NEC, MSM, CIM, Eastman, Peabody, USC, UCLA…etc. and passed almost all prescreen! Still waiting to hear back from NEC though. Very very nervous. </p>
<p>For Eastman and Peabody, I will be doing regional auditions in LA. I would not consider myself as one of those superstar violinists, but I am currently a pre-college student at Colburn…a decent player with great musicality if not the very best techniques. Will I have a chance at Eastman or Peabody? :/</p>

I just got an email saying that I passed the pre-screenings for Jazz Trombone and Contemporary Voice.</p>

<p>I wasn’t informed of anything in the email about any letters, so I have no idea.</p>
<p>However I wasn’t very confident with my Contemporary pre-screening, as I was rushed for time, but I still made it past so don’t count anything out just yet!</p>
<p>Did you submit both audio and video pre screen materials? The website stated that both were required. My S only submitted audio, though he had a video that he used for other schools. For when is your audition scheduled? He is applying for the jazz program and requested a Feb 18 date. I had heard no pass communication came through posted letters, but pass pre-screen came through email.</p>
