Presenting Research at a Convention

You can live at the SUNY stony brook dorms. Application (and the deadline) can be found at the link that's been posted above.

i downloaded the app and didnt see any place to put standardized test scores (sat, psat, sat2's) am i missing something or are these scores not neccessary? furthermore, how selective is this program?

hmm... tennisdude, i don't think it really matters that much. when i applied in 10th, i didn't have that many scores to show.

jen - i got into duke early!! i'll def. be chilling with lenny and steve. :D can't wait til august!

quibic, i assume you got in, how competitive is the program (admission) and what exactly do you mean by 'not that many scores'?

i applied in the early spring of my tenth grade, and at that point i only had taken one SAT II (biology).

the program becomes more competitive every year, so i'm sure it's harder to get in now than when i applied. we accept about 30 (?) new people each year, since the juniors usually come back. if you are qualified, i'm sure that you will have a great shot!

why don't you email the director? i'm sure she will be happy to answer your questions.

whats also good is the Rockefeller Science Outreach Program in manhattan. I went there and it is very good. It is slightly competitive but if you get a mentor ur basically in :) Its also just as prestigious as the Stonybrook one, maybe even more

o that looks good, i've seen it before, but i wont be 16 until september 05

quibic, can you tell me a bit more about what you think it takes to get in (gpa and such)? is it possible for me to send them the scores from the march adminsitration of the SAT2(results coming april 11)?
