President Barron Leaving FSU for Penn State

The “new” timeline has been aproved by the advisory committee. Looks like you may have a new President in place before the end of September.

I would expect we’ll hear nothing about the candadites, until September 8th or later. At that point they will have to go public with which ones are being interviewed.

People here seem to be missing the important thing Barron mentioned at the end of the third paragraph of his letter…that Penn State U. is “state-related.” PSU is NOT owned by the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and its workers are not state employees. It’s merely partially funded by the state. Compared to managing FSU, that makes running PSU a lot simpler and involves a lot less red tape and interference from the state govt.

Barron some how left this out of his letter…

Basically, Barron left FSU once Penn State showed him the money…

Can’t say that if I was in his position that I wouldn’t do the same thing, but…
