A future President's husband to speak at Princeton? What fun!

How sexy :)

PtonGrad2000....I have always read your threads with respect and admiration until now:)

Nopoison, I'm not quite sure what you mean by that but...thank you...I think? Actually, I really meant it when I wrote that it would be fun. I've heard that Clinton is a lot more relaxed and funnier now even than when he was President. I really DO think it will be fun!

haha...I'm pretty conservative so you know where I'm coming from but keep up the good work on this board.
I don't suppose Robert George will attend but then again who knows?

A Daily Princetonian article about the former President's visit.

from today's washington post, "big names on campus":

Three Princeton University seniors are feeling pretty good about themselves these days. As Class Day chairmen, Harrison Frist, Lauren Bush and Shaun Callaghan had the job of arranging for a top-drawer speaker for the event, part of the school's commencement next month. Frist is the son of Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.), Bush is the niece of President Bush, and they were successful in landing their first choice.

Bill Clinton.

"Very cool! It's awesome," Princeton Class of 2006 President Christopher Lloyd said of the reaction on campus to landing the former president for the first of four addresses he will give this graduation season.

Interesting article. I didn't realise there was such a... market for commencement speakers.

unfortunately so. i'm glad, however, that princeton and harvard have their speakers early, in pre-commencement events and not in the commencement ceremonies themselves. now if only they'd do away with honorary degrees for non-academic celebrities...
