I understand you disagree with Obama’s policy proposals, but to suggest that he “was one of the worst presidents in our history” before he was even elected seems to be nothing but vengeful wishes. Your claims about welfare and terrorism are right out of the Hannity fear book. Obama has endorsed welfare reform and is committed to facing terrorism head on in the regions where it is most strategic.

He’s our president. He is an intelligent man who can see the bigger picture and has proven his capacity to make thoughtful decisions. At least give him a chance. There’s no need to be a divided nation anymore.

Bush was a poor president because he participated in cronyism, he did not have the necessary intellectual curiosity to understand all sides of an argument as Clinton and now Obama have demonstrated, and he isolated us from the world. One would be hard pressed to convince me there is not a correlation between us thumbing our noses at the world and the collapse of our financial system.

I’m not trying to be partisan here because I think Republicanism is an important system of values. I’m just asking that you give Obama a chance to lead a country out of dark days.

He could be the next Jimmy Carter. He could be the next Franklin Roosevelt.
Only time will tell.
