In my application, if I am Co-President of a club am I allowed to just simply put 'President'?

Just be completely accurate and put 'co-president'.

I agree with lilyrobin. If you have to ask, it's best to go with the safe decision and put "co-president."

It's correct to put "co-president", and there even was a newspaper article earlier this year in which an admissions officer said exactly that.

I've heard others on cc say it's better to put president, editor, etc. when there's more than one, because a lot of schools use "co-" in place of "assistant," and by putting "co-" you imply that you were not the actual leader. According to those posts, colleges don't care whether you write "co-" as long as your leadership role was greater than OR EQUAL TO that of any other leader in that organization.

Just call it whatever the official name is. If you are both officially "Presidents" and simply called "co-Presidents" as convention, then it would be okay to call yourself President.

Personally, I would just put President. I don't consider that lying. But just put whatever lets you sleep better at night.

There are some sports teams that name all of their seniors "captain." It took until this fall on CC for it to dawn on me that it was so all of them can put on their apps that they were captain of their varsity team. (Of course, if there are a dozen football players applying to the same school and they are all captain, I guess the school catches on.)

I mean I put president since we are BOTH presidents. That's how I saw it. But the activities where I am a "co" we are truly equal. However, the other presidents are not applying to the same schools as me.
