My friend got accepted into Biomedical Engineering at Cockrell, and on his admissions page it told him about an offer for the Presidential Achievement scholarship; I looked it up and apparently they send decisions by March 15th, yet he got his immediately? Is this normal? Do they not send them all at the same time? Do I still have a chance?

35 ACT. Similar scores to me. I think he might have had his financial aid information done earlier; I’m still waiting on my CASH, maybe that’s it?
I think the ones that are already sent out are based on financial aid since I submitted my financial aid info pretty early. I received my PAS the day I got accepted (last Thursday).
From the UT website: The Presidential Achievement Scholarship (PAS) is designed to recognize Texas high school scholars from low and middle-income households who perform at a high academic level. It is a University of Texas at Austin recruitment scholarship based on socioeconomic factors and academic performance. All admitted students are automatically considered.
I received one when I got my decision in December. I was surprised bc I didn’t send in formal financial documents.
