Hi,
Does anyone know what the cutoff SAT score usually is to qualify for a presidential scholarship? The Presidential Scholar Foundation website provides a vague answer, something like "students who score exceptionally well qualify".....

For MD males, I know it's a perfect on the CR+M. Other states and genders may have lower cutoffs.

It's not a scholarship. You don't get anything except for the award recognition itself and of course the trip to Washington to meet the Pres.

The cutoff depends on the state. I'd say 2360 and above is the minimum for every state but I really can't be sure. For my state, I know of a 2370 who made the cut (I'm positive that was her score and she didn't qualify through the ACT). And no I'm not from Wyoming

For this thing, the writing score doesn't count. One guy got a 800+800+780 and got in but another guy got a 800+790+800 and didn't.

I see. Well in that case the person I know had a 1600. I myself have a 1590; we both made the cut in our state.

wow thanks everyone!
