Hey,

I have a 2290 superscore in the SAT, and I was wondering whether that would be enough to qualify for Presidential Scholar?

Additionally, would a 34 or a 35 on the ACT qualify?

Well, it depends on the competition in your state, but I doubt you will. You could look at the state-by-state ACT reports on their webiste and see what scores have been like in your state in past.

Can you give me that website?

For competitive states, you almost have to have perfect SAT scores on Math + CR.

ACT subscore sum 141, guarantees candidate status. your score is highly unlikely, but could depend on the state.

How do you know?

OP: What is your CR+M score single sitting? That’s the only SAT score that matters.

Mine’s a 1490, so I’m pretty sure it’s not going to qualify.

1490 is definitely too low for any state. Most states are 1590-1600.

^^ per commission on presidential scholars/presidential scholars program: =>141 (ACT) counts as 1600 (SAT)

Is there a link to support that? Why would a 35 ACT convert to a perfect 1600 on the SAT?

not 35, subscore sum 141; it’s how conversion works for them.
