ah this seems strangely reminiscent of the Stanford decisions.

hopefully very soon

I actually submitted my application at 4:58 on the day of the deadline.
I think a bunch of people doesn’t fill out the application and another bunch gets disqualified because there were so many details.

1001, was that 4:58 according to the online clock?? i know that a lot of people didn’t do it during the Bush administration (simply because they hated him) but i have a feeling a lot more people will do it this year.

I’m not a semifinalist, boo!

The letter says the list is on the website, but it’s not up yet. It’ll be at [Awards - Presidential Scholars Program](Awards: U.S. Presidential Scholars | U.S. Department of Education), though.

so you already got your letter?

also rejected. lets commiserate:) I thought i wrote a really good essay for the “what is significant to you” prompt.

mesquite_girl, whereabouts do you live? i didnt get anything in the mail today…
it’s weird how the list isnt online yet

i live in Mesquite, a suburb of Dallas. TEXAS:) But yes, i really REALLY wanted to get this. DC would have been soooo lovely.

I got it in the mail just now and did make it too bad I can only get waitlisted at Yale

^ if you get Presidential Scholar you might stand a better chance to get pulled off the waitlist :O

got semi in the mail too

gotta say, rather antsy to find out… silly GA mail!

crap im on vacation. did they say when it will be up online?

I’m on the West Coast; nothing in my mailbox today. I did get a very nice letter from the Princeton Math Department though.

[Awards - Presidential Scholars Program](Awards: U.S. Presidential Scholars | U.S. Department of Education)

…and I didn’t make it. Guess I shouldn’t have written all those essays the day it was due haha…that and the fact that they probably didn’t like the fact that I wrote about video games :P

thanks for posting when they finally put the list up… i didn’t get it either
oh well. rejection (after waitlisting) seems to be one of the top themes of the year.
