<p>Does anyone know when we will be notified whether we will be invited to the interview or not for the presidential scholarship?</p>
<p>I looked at the thread from last year for the Presidential Scholarship, and they found out on January 7th last year. So I’m guessing that we’ll find out in the next couple days!!!</p>

<p>Ahh nice. SLU is by far my number one choice, but I won’t be able to afford it if I don’t get the Presidential… so I’m REALLY hoping I get the interview!!</p>
<p>Just got the call from admissions!!! So excited for the scholarship weekend! (Feb. 18th, I think the admissions counselor said) :)</p>

<p>Any more updates from the other potential finalists? My son still didn’t get any notification. Trying to be hopeful for him. I just wish there is a way to know either way so those who don’t make it will not have to keep on hoping.</p>
<p>At this point it sounds like those who are finalists have gotten phone calls already. At my high school, there were about 7 guys who applied. Two have gotten calls informing them about the scholarship weekend and the others haven’t been notified yet.</p>
<p>I’m going Feb 17-19 bc if you go the first night you get to stay overnight with a presidential scholarship winner which sounds really cool. Do you guys have any idea what the interview process is like? Is it just one person or like a panel?</p>
<p>I was told by a faculty member that its a panel of 4 to 5 people. Also, she said that they decide the scholarship winners based on how good your interview is, and they don’t really take your ACT score or your essay into consideration at that point.</p>

<p>My son received a letter yesterday stating he did not make it to the finals. He took it well (probably better than I did). At least I can now stop worrying. Good luck to those who qualified!</p>
<p>I heard back from my admissions counselor today at around 2. He called me and told me that I was one of the chosen pres scholars!</p>
<p>My son got a call late last week. He was awarded the Presidential Scholarship. Great news!</p>
