I was accepted to GWU last week :) I saw a lot of people posting about Presidential Scholarships they already received and I was wondering where they found that information. Maybe I just didn't get one, but I have a 2170 SAT, 3.87 unweighted GPA (it's over 4.0 weighted, I'm not sure exactly because my school does it differently), lots of AP classes, 4 years on state-winning dance team, and loads of other extracurriculars, so I thought I could possibly be a good candidate for the scholarship. I will really need it for me to be able to attend GWU. I haven't gotten my admissions packet yet in the mail, but I was under the impression that a lot of other people haven't, either. Also, maybe I am just missing it on the page :) Please let me know :)

It’s right under the thing that says “congratulations, you’ve been accepted, etc.” There’s a heading that says “Scholarship Information” or something like that. There’s a similar heading that says “financial aid information” right below it. If the “Scholarship Information” part isn’t there for you, you didn’t get it.

On what page? Because the email I got when I was admitted directs me to the Admitted Students website, and I thought that was general for all freshmen (meaning not personalized).

Thanks a lot, though! I bet this probably mean I didn’t get it, but congrats to you!

Oh, I’m sorry, I did a terrible job specifying. It’s on the page where you check your acceptance in the Admission Activity Center. You have to provide your email and password, and then you click “application status check,” etc. There’s a link to it in the email that told us the date that we’d hear back. If you can’t find it, I’ll send you a PM (I don’t think we can provide links on here but idk).

Oh okay, thanks a lot! That’s what I thought, but my computer was having trouble logging in so I wasn’t sure. Thanks a lot though! :)

It worked! Thanks a lot, I did get the Presidential Scholarship Thanks so much!!

Can anyone tell me with similar stats what $ scholarship received or what stats

SAT R 730 M 650 W 660 3.85UW 4.25 W (17 AP / Honors by end of HS) Lots

I received the SEAS scholarship (120k; 30k over 4 years) which is specifically for engineering students. I applied EDI with a 31 ACT, 3.5uw/4.1w GPA, horrific class rank, but I had a certain EC that I think really got me that scholarship… So i’m not sure if it was on the merit of my grades/scores or on the EC/essay/rec. The EC/essay/rec was more impressive so I am assuming it was that.

If you see anyone talking about the Presidential Scholar in the Arts Program, that’s a scholarship competition for music, theatre, visual arts, or dance students who audition/are reviewed for the scholarship. Most of us had to physically go down to DC to do so, but it’s a $20,000 scholarship if you do get it. It requires you to at least minor (if not major) in the field you auditioned in, and (at least for music students) pays for private lessons.
