I was just wondering if anyone outside of the LA region had received notification regarding their interview decision. I thought that it would have arrived to day but to my dismay the mailbox is still empty =[ ..

Anyone out there ( specifically the Bay Area) get their decision yet? Does my lack of mail imply bad things about my chances at the scholarship?

^I don’t think the lack of mail CAN imply bad things. I mean, everybody who interviewed is going to get a decision, right? So, you’re GOING to get SOMETHING in the mail, whether it’s the award you interviewed for, or a bump up, or a bump down. I think everybody who interviewed is supposed to receive a decision one way or another. My son was told today that all decisions were mailed “earlier this week” (which, admittedly, could mean “yesterday”).

^Oh, but I think we’re all talking about Trustee/Presidential scholarship notifications here, kumeeg, not admission notifications. This group got their admissions decisions in late January (or was it early Feb)?

Nevertheless, congratulations!!! Good for you! :)

^What? Really? Somebody who is definitely in the know at USC told my son yesterday that they were mailed “earlier this week!” Hmmm. Someone told you they were mailed today?

To me, this period of time is always the hardest part of college applications … the eternal waiting. erg.

Yeah, my admissions counselor told me this. He said they were trying to get them out today, at least. Idk where your son got that info! Weird!

But hey, we can wait a couple more days. The wonderful USC folk have so much to do in a short amount of time. I’m just thankful for their dedication.

^^Hmmm. My son got his information from HIS admissions counselor! Oh well. It’s weird, because my son didn’t ask; the adcom volunteered – “the decisions went out earlier this week!”

Apparently, it wasn’t correct, since nobody’s received anything.

^Pfft. No. He was definitely talking about notifications. The adcom knows who my son is and knows that he’s up for a scholarship. Nevermind, Jason.
