<p>I can’t find any info on the Presidential and Trustee’s scholarship. Does anyone know how one qualifies for them and how much money they give?</p>

<p>I had a 30 on the ACT and was somewhat disapointed to get the $1800 Trustee scholarship instead of the $3000 Provost one, considering Provost criteria is a 29 on the ACT. I probably would have taken the ACT again if I’d known.</p>
<p>The deadline for the Provost (and Maximus) was December 1st. If you got a 30 on your ACT after this date that could explain why might be getting the Trustee instead. The Trustee is for a score of 28.</p>
<p>Also, they are strict about class rank. If you’re not top 10%, you wouldn’t get the Provost.</p>
<p>I took the ACT last June, so that wasn’t an issue. My school doesn’t rank. There’s nothing I can do about it, but maybe it mattered. One of my friends, same HS, lower gpa also had a 30 and he got a provost. I had just sent in my deposit a week before I got the scholarship. Maybe I should have waited?</p>
<p>Definitely call and ask about it if you think you qualify. My friend receieved the Provost when he should have gotten Maximum…he called and they fixed it in like 2 weeks…I wouldn’t think they would hold that against you cause it’s not your fault your school doesn’t rank…but yeah call the office for the first year experience or whatever</p>
<p>Um…sorry I made a mistake…I meant to ask only about the Presidential and Medalist. The Maximus/Provost/Trustees had clear criteria and deadline—and I received the Maximus only a few weeks following my admission. But I really can’t find anything relating to Presidential/Medalist and I’m panicking because I missed the deadline for the application for special scholarships (apparently this app is not required for Presidential&Medalists). Does anyone know if H&S is required to be eligible for Presidential/Medalist???</p>

<p>Yes, presidential and medalist is only awarded to those admitted to the honors program</p>
<p>@RGMsmom - I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I got a 31 on my ACT, but at the time I was evaluated for admission into OSU, I was number 17 out of 141, and I still given the Provost Scholarship.</p>
