Has anyone gotten any information on that yet?

I received that scholarship and I got a letter from the school delineating the scholarship. You can also check your financial aid status and go to the “My History” tab on the left side of the screen. A screen will pop up and it will tell you if you have it. Do it right now!!!

Is it possible to receive this scholarship if we submitted our FAFSA close to the March 15th deadline? The deadline on the website says its March 15th, but they are already giving them out?

Thanks

kittenz,

was it your post about EHP and Dean’s scholars?
Is it not enough? :-)

[Texas Scholarships: President’s Achievement Scholarship](http://www.texasscholarships.org/types/osfs/pas.html)

“The President’s Achievement Scholarship (PAS) is designed to recognize high school scholars who have overcome a significant amount of adversity in their lives while performing at a very high academic level compared to their high school peers. Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 per year and can be awarded for up to four years.”

Which means if you go to school where mean SAT is 900 or 1100, and you got 1700-2100 and in the very top (not top 10%, but very top) of your class you’ll most likely qualify.

IMHO: This is the main merit scholarship for really low performing poor schools (inner-city and rural).

If you want some money strictly for academic achievements you might consider TILF if you qualify.

I have heard about lots of people getting various scholarships, but I have recieved nothing so far. It may very well be because I haven’t recieved anything yet, but does your FAFSA have anything to do with it? I had to submit citizen documentation and it still hasn’t processed so my financial aid is basically barred at the moment. Does your FAFSA have to finish processing before you start getting some scholarships? :/

Since it is PAS topic.

The very last sentence: says:
“We anticipate notifying scholarship recipients in April and hope to see you on campus in the Fall!”
