president's award?..help-__-

Hi, I got this mail from the White House, and I'm trying to figure out what it is. All that's in it is a piece of cardboard and a picture of george bush. the picture says "To ________, Academic Scholar" and at the bottom it says "With best wishes, George W. Bush". Everything is typed calligraphy, except the name is an autograph. Is this some sort of award? I've been looking online, but I can't find anything abt it. thx!

I think that you have been punked. Or maybe Bush is just totally psyched that American childrens do learn.

I don't think they send out awards via email? Wait for snailmail if it is real

yeah i got it in the mail. in a yellow envelope. top left corner says in caps "The White House" "Washington, DC 20502". top right corner is a postage mark in red, saying "mailed from zip code 20500,dec 15 2006, $00.87" in the middle is my name + address handwritten, and it also says "first class do not bend" in block capital letters.

Congratulations, I guess you are an Academic Scholar (as opposed to all those other kinds of scholars...)

Presidential Scholars Program

^It is most definitely not the Presidential Scholar award. You have to fill out a rather lengthy and tedious application to get that. And what you get is not an autographed photo of the President.
