president's scholarship program deadline/stanford

Does anyone know if applying for the Georiga Tech President's Scholarship Program Deadline means you can't apply for Restrictive Early Action at Stanford? I'm not from Georgia. Thanks for any input!

no you can not.

“Applicants agree not to apply to any other school under an Early Action, Restrictive Early Action, Early Decision, or Early Notification program.”

[Restrictive Early Action : Stanford University](<a href=“Page Not Found : Stanford University”>Page Not Found : Stanford University)

Actually, you may be able to, as

[By December 15](http://www.psp.gatech.edu/prospective/calendar.php), “Notification letters sent to those students chosen as semifinalists.” It doesn’t say that semifinalists also receive acceptance letters.

So is the president’s scholarship deadline considered an early action program? Because isn’t there an even earlier deadline which is early notification?

Seems to me that limiting your options because one school wants you to is not very fair to yourself. How do you benefit? If the school wants you, they shouldn’t put restrictions on wherever else you want to look.

I agree with you, GPBurdell32, it is kind of unfair, but I’m not going to apply early decision anywhere, but if I can know about Stanford earlier without being completely restricted to it, that would be great!

so the question is know a little early from Stanford, or be eligible for total full ride to GT with extra perks?

If in doubt, contact the PSP office at GT and ask them if the PS deadline qualifies as “a requirement for consideration for special academic programs or scholarships only if the notification of admission occurs after January 1.”

you would be notified of admission and semi-finalist status in november-december.

EDIT: oops didnt read first post
