anyone going for this? also is it in my best interest to include teacher recs for admission?

You apply for the President's Scholarship when you apply for admission. I don't think they want recs.

yea, i was just wonderin if anyone was applying this early. I mean the deadline is pre ED for most schools.

Yeah, I guess it's pretty early. Stanford SCEA is 11/1 though... I am so behind...

I applied last week. I'm pretty confident I'll get in, but i don't know about the scholarship. What do yall think?

ECs: President of Mu Alpha Theta. Captain of Math Team w/ several placings. Memberships in Science Club, NHS, Beta, etc.

With those stats, I'm guessing that you're pretty much a shoe in for semifinalist. Wow, if everyone had your stats I'm in trouble.

Does anybody know anybody who got finalist in the past? What kind of stats and ECs do they usually have?

Last year most seminfinalists scored 1300+ on the SAT and 3.6+ GPA, however there were certainly exeptions to that profile. Clearly leadership and your writing are quite important as well. Ultimately, interviews and recs play into this too.

some lady called me and asked if i knew the site. i said http://www.gatech.edu, but she meant the http://psp.gatech.edu/ site instead... oh well... but uh, yeah... how many ppl get this far?

EDIT: oh right... you guys prolly want stats...
