<p>Just got my president's scholarship letter.</p>
<p>For instate, looks like the amount will be 5k.</p>
<p>These letters seem a bit early however. I was expecting sometime in march.</p>

<p>I received the dean’s scholarship letter on Thursday which awards 4.5k each year for two years. Kind of disappointed that I didn’t even get the president’s when I was expecting B/K invite. Oh well :/</p>

<p>Everyone I know instate got 5k, so maybe it fluctuates more for OOS.</p>

<p>Yeah, that’s what I thought. At first I wasn’t sure b/c you just said your W GPA. But I’ve found that UMD puts two general categories of students in Scholars: people with like 3.6-3.8 GPA and 1900-ish SAT and people with 3.4-3.6 GPA and really high SATs.</p>
<p>I got 8k/yr in-state too!</p>
<p>Stats: 1600/2310 SAT, 4.72 WGPA, Honors, CompSci major.</p>
<p>I got 5k/year in-state</p>
<p>Stats: 2220 SAT; 3.8 GPA, 4.5 WGPA; Scholars; Gov’t and Pol major</p>

<p>1520/2310 SAT, 4.0/4.76 GPA, Honors, and Comp Sci major as well… it must’ve been because i’m an asian male lol</p>

do you guys know if 12k/yr (President’s) is only for OOS?
also… if you do get awarded President’s, are you still eligible for other scholarships like dean’s??</p>
<p>You cannot get both dean’s and president’s</p>
<p>Some individual colleges at UMD also offer merit scholarships. CMPS is not one of them, for incoming freshmen.</p>
<p>My D just got 12K/yr President’s OOS letter today. Hooray!</p>
