Does anybody else feel a lot of pressure to do well during the test and consequently become nervous and get some easy question wrong? It's not really an issue for me on school tests but more so on SATs and competitions.

So I was just wondering if there are any exercises that you do during the actual test (breathing, stretching, etc) that work for you and help to relieve stress?

I think the biggest stress reliever is to acknowledge that the SAT is just a test of basic reading, writing, and math skills. I mean, you can definitely answer these questions, when you really think about it. Pretend that the SAT is like a final for some joke class that you're taking and you're surrounded by a bunch of idiots who can't do any of the math problems and you want to blow the professor away and amaze him/her with your knowledge of basic reading, writing, and math!

My daughter stresses over the concern that she will run out of time, so if that is what is scaring you, just practice several tests with a stopwatch so you can learn to pace yourself and not rush through if you don't need to.
Good luck!

Personally, I do best under pressure. IDK why, probably from experiences in sports. But just practice and then go in knowing you've done all you can. Once you get in there, I doubt you'll really think about it anyway, you'll be so focused. GL though!
