prestige or major

Which one is more important, prestige or the major that one is most interested in?

Well, what do you want to get out of college? Will you be looking for graduate school (Master’s or PhD) or professional school (medical, law, veterinary, dental, etc.) after undergraduate? Or are you looking for business connections that will help you land the best job?

I don’t think we can answer your question unless you provide us with more information.

If you’re asking whether (prestigious) MIT would be a good choice for someone who wanted to do a Theatre/Criminal Justice double major … the answer would be “No.”

Well, I am interested in business management, and I intend to go into a graduate school after undergrad.

For business, pretige is king. If you do very well out of Harvard or Wharton there might be little need to go back for an MBA unless you want to change career paths. You’ll have better business opportunities coming out of Dartmouth, a school with no business major, than out of UNH with a business major (if looking into some more lucrative fields).
