Congrats on taking the leap (baby step?) of going to Dickinson. I do think the education will be dramatically better, and I think it is the right choice for that. It looks like you got a lot of aid an you are going to advance your education and opportunities.
It seemed that your concern not to was coming more from fear, or just anxiety, rather than making the best choice. Just remember that it is a transition and may take until sophomore year to get settled in. You don’t not have your family just because you are away for college. You can come home long weekends you are so close. Plus get used to skype and other online options. It isn’t bad to be lonely and homesick and everyone gets that way sometimes. You learn to enjoy your own company, you slowly make friends who you didn’t grow up with. it By the time you are a Jr or Sr you will have gown into ti. Enjoy it.
