prestige vs. GPA

For grad school admissions, is it better to go to a top school (HYPSM) and get a low GPA or go to a good school (cornell, upenn(not Wharton), dartmouth..) and get a higher GPA?

I'd call your "good" schools, top schools, but that is just me...

Uhmm yeah, if you get a ****ty GPA at Harvard I doubt your GPA will be great at your "Good" schools.

thanks for your thoughts...any other opinions?

Your GPA is not going to be markedly different at these very similar institutions. Go to the place you like best.

your good schools are prestigious schools.
also some of your schools in the first groups are known to inflate gpas.

Haha, its way harder to get a good GPA at Cornell or UPenn then HYP

Definitely go to a "top" school because it's easier to get higher GPAs there. Plus, they're better (except for HYP vs. Cornell in engineering, and random stuff like that). Mind you, they're all excellent schools.
