Prestige-wise? Dartmouth, Brown, Columbia, Penn.

I guess I consider Dartmouth, Brown, Columbia, and Penn to be the middle-ives(with HYP at the top and Cornell at the bottom). So how would you order these in prestige? I say
Columbia
Dartmouth
Penn (Regular, not Wharton)
Brown

College essay forum?
Penn has Wharton. :D

I would put Brown above Penn…but I don’t know much about Penn.

Columbia

Dartmouth/ Brown - Tie; I don’t know, Brown seems to be more famous for some reason. And I personally prefer brown anyway.

Penn (only if you discount Wharton, though)

I always find these funny. Rarely does a person who has attended any of these schools get involved in comparing mine versus yours. As an alum of one of the eight, I know first hand that the differences are small and know enough to respect others from the other seven (and elsewhere). Almost invariably, it’s outsiders who discuss the Ivy prestige rankings.

Trust me. Been there done that. The “prestige” differential ain’t all dat!

those are hella tough to compare.
i think its…
dartmouth/ brown
columbia
penn

I agree that there’s really very little difference…but Brown is generally at the bottom of my list

Columbia/Penn
Dartmouth
Brown

yes, I agree with the U.S. news rankings

For prestige?

Columbia
Penn
Brown
Darthmouth

It shouldn’t matter though.

depends on your major. but brown is at the bottom of the pile anyways. perceived by a lot of people as a party school (and you have to admit, it is).
