Most of you guys say that you go to a prestigious high school...how is that measured?
Actually, more pertinently: when colleges measure how 'prestigious' your high school is, what do they look at? I go to a 2-in-1 type school, where we are a magnet school within a regular school (the idea being to bring the nicest school to the poorest neighborhood)...So when our scores are averaged, we look just barely sub-par, but when almost 2/3 of the school is regulars, well, I at least think our magnet program is wonderful.
[as far as real #s go, according to people at my school, we are ranked 166 nationally...whereas our comparable rival school is ranked 71]
thanks for answers! (I am just worried about this...)

average gpa and SAT score of your highschool as well as how many kids the school normally gets into good schools is probably the easiest way.
