Well my passion is definately music, and the two instruments I play are the oboe and the piano. I also play Tenor in Marching Band, and played it in Jazz Band last year, but I plan on discontinuing it next year.

Anyone know of any awards/accomplishments I should attempt during my high school career?

Start with your county and district orchestra. Solo and ensemble is good. Then try for All-State. Your band director should have all of the information.

I’ve gotten the All state music, does chair number matter? Also hoe beneficial Is it to be in All state band?

Not sure how it works in your state. What is the difference between All-State Music and All-State Band? Here, we just have one function. All-State Band is a wonderful accomplishment which will rank you amongst the best in your State for your instrument(s).
You may be able to audition for both instruments. Check with your band director. Good luck! :)

Don’t try for accomplishments… Just get good, audition for everything you can, and the achievements will work themselves out.

Yeah accomplishments help, but in the end, it’s the audition that matters more. You have to be a good player. So practice!
