MIT? MIT is not usually on most people’s campus beauty lists including mine. The building shown in the link is nice and the Stata building is freaky, but the majority of the campus could pass for any nondescript state U. The beauty at MIT is what goes on <em>inside</em> the buildings.</p>

<p>The way I sum up the high-end schools’ archtecture is this:</p>

<p>Stanford is imitation adobe; Yale is stone; Harvard is brick; and MIT is concrete.

<p>Human got brain and brain is used to create the modern architecture along the Charles river.
Beauty is certainly in the eyes of beholder. A piece of concrete to one can be a piece of art to another.</p>
