Prettiest LACs

Which LACs do you think have the prettiest campuses and buildings? (Explain, please.) HYPS get a lot of love on the "prettiest colleges" forums so I thought I'd start one just for LACs since some of them are, in fact, the prettiest colleges. :)

middlebury college: first off, its in vermont, which is such a green state, and so pretty. its a rural campus, so its covered by expanses of greenery, and has a bunch of new buildings. i imagine it is especially gorgeous in winter, when you can go skiing, and see snow covered mountains

williams college: im considering applying here, and from the website, it looks gorgeous. its in the berkshires, and on the website it says you can see three mountains from the campus. it also has skiing, and a cute little adirondack town.

haverford college: they have some arbory thing. go trees! lol

This has been answered many, many times. In my opinion, Rhodes College is the prettiest LAC. Great Gothic style buildings, all built with the same rock.

I also liked half of Hamilton College - the "light side" rather than the "dark side".

Sewanee has a very beautiful campus.

what's soooo bad about the dark/south side?

colgate is beautiful, especially at night. it's on a huge hill and most of the buildings are gorgeous.

mount holyoke.

I would say Vassar. It has a big green campus and lots of pretty buildings. Look at the website.

pomona's gorgeous. Weather doesn't hurt either. Groundskeepers are amazing.

I second Vassar. But poughkeepsie sucks. Bowdoin is pretty and so is the town. I also second Middlebury. THeir library has a picture window that opens onto the mountains. Divine

conn college is a 740 acre arboretum, over looking long island sound

swarthmore is really beautiful. the entire campus is an aboretum and it has a gorgeous sunken amphitheatre. it's the most beautiful campus i've seen and i've seen a lot.

Furman in Greenville, SC is amazing . . . check it out:

Also, Berry College in GA is the largest campus in the world, because it has a mountain in the middle of it. It's pretty incredible too:

Lewis and Clark is quite attractive. The architechture is not that stunning but the campus is on the grounds of an old manor house. The manor house is the admissions office. There are beautiful gardens, a wonderful wooded ravine and plants everywhere. You really can't see much of the campus from one place to another because of all the trees and shrubs. And on clear days you get a great view of Mt. Hood.

If you type the name of the school into Google and click on "Images", you'll get some pictures of these places. I'd like it if you all would cut-and-paste the URLs of some photos with your nominations so we can all be persuaded!

HSC-beautiful,rolling lawns.Drive through the gates and enter a timeless world of Southern charm, tradition, brotherhood.

W&L-Elegant buildings.Situated in historic Lexington.Impeccable grounds.

Davidson-The campus oozes prestige. In the ritzy small village of Davidson.

To answer an earlier post, there's nothing wrong with the dark side of Hamilton, but the architecture is nothing special.

Bard is beautiful in the spring. Check out Blithewood, its on postcards because its so amazinhg.
