Housing is based on doubles in Adams, Couch and Walker Centers, David L. Boren Hall (honors dorm) is $9,154/year so you’d save $1,126 a year living in the honors dorm with community bathrooms.

NM covers 100% of tuition, $4200 for room and board (first year only), $5500 (yearly), $1250 NM stipend (yearly), $2000 book and technology stipend (first year only) and $2000 study abroad (one time award).

So you can see the first year is going to be much less expensive than the following years.Below is what we estimate for our DD. Fees are different for the schools, the School of Music charge less than her Atmospheric Science classes so the fee are hard to nail down until you know exactly what classes you are taking DD will also be taking 17 hours first semester and 16 hours second semester.
tuition $0
Fees $8000
books and supplies $770
R&B $10,280
Total $19,050
-5,500 (Ok state scholar part of NM)
-1250 (NM stipend)
-4200 (NM housing scholarship) - one time
-2000 (NM Books and technology) - one time

Leaving us OOP $6100 for the first year (this does not include parking permit and optional bike locker). We don’t have an official bill yet but it think this is pretty close for us. I may be on the high side for books. If you are in the honors dorm and take less credit hours I would think it could be about $2k less than what we are looking at

Thankfully OU allows stacking of outside scholarships to cover the balance.
