Thank you SOOO much!!

tmc..if you go through the past pages for NEU you'll find a thread where students who received merit in the last application cycle listed their stats.. it will give you a pretty good idea.

I'd say 10-12K/yr. I think for anything more than that, you will need to get your ACT up to a 31 or 32. I could be totally wrong, but that is my sense.

I received 10k a year with a less qualified resume than yourself. I'd say you'd get 14k+ a year (Probably 16k)

NEU is so weird when it comes to this stuff. I got >30 ACT, >100 weighted GPA and tons of leadership positions/in school activities and got 12K/yr.

why are all of you overachievers!?
it's ridiculous.

isn't there any applicant who isn't a captain or champion? there must be!

^^^^ welcome to CC. There are a lot of overachievers here, but that doesn't mean that one does not get into their choice of schools without being a captain of ever varsity sport or top 10 of their class

I got 17.5k in merit/aid from neu and my stats were not outstanding but it could be different because i transferred in.

Well I don't know about 16k... I got 14k with a 2200 and, I must admit, killer SAT II scores. You will definitely get something though! My guess would be around 12k or 14k.

I wonder how much they look at extracurriculars for the merit scholarships... That would be kind of a tough decision, wouldn't it? And that is why I shall never work in a college. :P
