<p>I'm going into senior year and I have no idea what to do with college admissions, as to where I should apply. I live on Long Island and would like to stay in the New York area.</p>

I got a 1710 on my SATs
By the end of senior year I will have completed 5 AP classes.</p>
<p>What should I even be aiming for at this point? Community college..SUNY schools?</p>
<p>If I understand what your stats are compared to what they’d be at my school, try:
Penn State
Rutgers
USC
American
etc</p>
<p>USC is not feasible for the OP (plus he or she wants to stay in New York). I am not very familiar with the SUNY schools’ admissions standards, but I imagine that they are realistic.</p>
<p>USC meaning South Carolina, I am assuming, not Southern Cal.</p>
<p>Oh. Well, in any case they are both outside of New York. :)</p>
